Bayada Nurses Hosts Open House to Benefit Local Community

February 16, 2005 -- Moorestown, NJ – Bayada Nurses will host an Open House on Friday, February 18th designed to benefit the local community twofold. The event will raise awareness of home care services covered by Medicaid and will introduce local healthcare professionals to the growing opportunities within the company. The Open House will be hosted at the Bayada Nurses office in Dover, NJ, which is located at 25-27 Dickerson Street, Suite 101, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Residents interested in learning more about Bayada Nurses’ personal care services are invited to attend”, says Christina Santiago, director, “as well as residents who would like to learn more about working for Bayada Nurses as a home health aide or certified nursing assistant.” Local healthcare professionals and facilities interested in establishing a referral relationship with Bayada Nurses are also encouraged to stop by.

Home care clients of all ages are now able to get highly-technical, skilled care and still enjoy the privacy, freedom and familiar surroundings of their own home. For families with older adults, this is a much better option than a nursing home or retirement community.

“The rapid growth of the home health industry affords us the ability to provide wonderful opportunities for home health aides and certified nursing assistants”, says Angie Hurtado, home health aide. “We have great referral bonuses, continuing education opportunities and, most importantly, it is like a family here”, she adds.

The Dover office of Bayada Nurses offers a wide array of personal care services, including assistance with activities of daily living (such as bathing, navigating stairs), meal preparation, laundry, and errands. Services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on any schedule. A wide variety of insurances are accepted, including auto, workers comp and HMO. Clients can also pay privately, but many residents are not aware that they can receive coverage through Medicaid. The staff members are bilingual and fully bonded and insured.

“We are excited about the growth of our office and are looking forward to meeting HHAs and CNAs who are looking for meaningful work, flexible hours, and a switch from the frantic pace of working in other health care environments”, says Santiago. “It is also a great opportunity to share with the community how we can benefit those in need of our services.”

Founded in 1975, Bayada Nurses is an independently owned home health care agency that employs more than 10,000 nurses, home health aides, and therapists working from more than 100 offices in 15 states.
